Hides
Hides are removed on the slaughter line, trimmed and salted on the day of slaughter. Each hide is traceable to the animal it came from through the slaughter number.
Brits Leathers in Brits, North West, is the group's tannery. It takes the bulk of the hides from Springs and processes them into finished leather for the furniture, automotive and leather-goods trades.
